Your first appointment with Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Centers, Inc. will be a consultation appointment. During this appointment your oral surgeon will review your health history, including all known health concerns, current medications, and allergies to assess any potential surgical risks. Your oral surgeon will then discuss with you what procedure(s) would need to be completed based on the recommendations of your referring dentist and examination of your x-ray. He will also discuss with you your anesthesia/ sedation options, the risks involved with any surgery as well as any that may be specific to your case, and what should be done in preparation for your surgery. Our front office personnel will prepare a treatment plan listing all planned procedures and will go over with you your estimated portion which will be due on the day of surgery.
In some cases, surgery can be performed the day of your consultation. However, patients requiring complex surgical procedures or having extensive medical histories will be scheduled for surgery on a later date to ensure proper medical evaluation and adequate surgery time is allowed.
