
Dr. Hughes joined the OMSC team in the spring of 2002. Dr. Hughes received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge, and he received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Southern California.
Dr. Hughes then entered the Air Force, where he completed a General Practice Residency at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He then received an M.S. degree in Education from Eastern Illinois University. Dr. Hughes underwent his Oral Surgery training at Wilford Hall U.S.A.F. Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Full Colonel.
Dr. Hughes is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has also published several articles in the professional literature. Dr. Hughes was elected into the Honorary Dental Fraternity Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Hughes has an interest in antique automobiles. He and his family reside in Washington Court House. His wife, Miyong, is from Seoul, Korea, and they have one son, Duncan.
